How can I shop at Straub's?

We offer several ways to shop for your convenience:

  • In-Store: Visit any of our four St. Louis locations.
  • Grocery Delivery: We partner with Instacart for local delivery of everyday groceries.
  • Nationwide Shipping: We ship Miss Hulling's Cakes, our World Famous Chicken Salad, USDA Prime Steaks, gift baskets, and select other products nationwide via our website.
    * Catering: Order party platters and boxed lunches on our catering website for pickup or local delivery.

I have an urgent issue with my catering or pickup order. Who do I call?

For any time-sensitive issues, please call the store you ordered from directly. Our corporate email is only monitored during business hours and is not the fastest way to resolve an urgent issue.

Where do I place a catering order?

All catering orders can be placed through our dedicated catering website (linked in our main navigation and here), or by calling/visiting your local store.

Where can I buy gifts or steaks to be shipped?

You can shop our selection of gift boxes, USDA Prime Steak boxes, and other shippable items right here on our main website. Look for the "Shop Gifts" link.

How do you ship perishable items like steaks and cakes?

We take great care to ensure your order arrives fresh. Perishable items are packed in an insulated cooler with dry ice or gel packs to maintain the proper temperature during transit. We ship Monday through Thursday to ensure your order gets to you in a timely manner.

I have a question about a gift or shipping order. Who do I contact?

What if I am unhappy with my purchase?

We stand behind the quality of everything we sell. If something isn't right, we want to know so we can make it right. Please see our Refund Policy here.

Can I pay for an online order using a Straub's Gift Card or House Account?

Yes! While our online checkout primarily processes credit cards, we are happy to accept Straub's Gift Cards and House Charge Accounts. To use these payment methods, please contact our gift specialist directly at 314-725-2121 x 730 or email us at onlinemarket@straubs.com before placing your order. Our team will verify your balance and manually process the order for you.

Where are you located and what are your hours?

What is the "World Famous Chicken Salad"?

It's our most iconic, signature recipe and our #1 bestseller. Last year, we sold over 85 tons! It is made fresh daily in a dedicated room at our Clayton store to ensure perfect consistency.

What is the story behind Miss Hulling's Split Layer cakes?

Miss Hulling's Cafeteria was a beloved St. Louis institution starting in 1930. After it closed, Straub's acquired the original, authentic recipes to ensure this piece of history wouldn't be lost. We proudly continue that legacy today, baking her famous split layer cakes in our bakery just as she did.

Are you a union shop?

Yes, Straub's is a union shop. New employees are required to join the respective union.

Do you have an employee referral program?

Yes! Current employees can refer a candidate. If they are hired and stay in good standing, you are eligible for a $100 gift card after 3 months and another $100 after 6 months.
