Straub’s is always in good taste – and our Chef Prepared Foods Department is the perfect example. Our famous soups, dressings, BBQ, dips and spreads, mashed potatoes and more are all made from scratch. In fact, 97% of all the items we prepare in the restaurant-quality kitchen at each location are made from scratch. The result? Fresh, delicious foods, prepared with the flavor and love that Mom used to make – only better! From succulent beef brisket to pulled pork, you can taste the house-made difference that comes from creative cooking with the highest-quality ingredients. Stop in today for a taste of our:

  • Straub’s World Famous Chicken Salad
  • 1/2 chickens and fried chickens
  • Signature recipes and side dishes
  • Dauphinoise potatoes
  • Risotto cakes
  • Deli department menu, featuring our soup bar and hot foods
  • Plus, much more

Enjoy the quality, convenience and value that our Chef Prepared Foods offer!

Chef Fred Youngblood has been cooking up fresh, homemade recipes from scratch for years. Before coming to Straub’s, Fred most notably worked at Provisions, Cardwell’s restaurants and the Glendale Grill in St. Louis. For the past 12 years, Fred has continued to do what he loves best – making the best prepared foods in the St. Louis area (and always with a smile).
