Last month, Straub’s organized a promotion to benefit the Susan G. Komen foundation as part of Breast Cancer Awareness month. Featured items such as Jilly’s Missylicious Cupcakes, Straub’s Strawberry Angel Pulls, and Corso’s Pink Ribbon Cookies were sold and 100% of the profits from these items were complied in check form. We’re proud to announce the total sum of $1,437.46 was sent directly to Susan G. Komen to support cancer research in pursuit of a cure.

Animal lovers Pam and Cal Nicholson of Nicholson Jones winery will be donating a percentage of their proceeds to the Humane Society of Missouri through the end of 2012. The St. Louis owned winery is located in California, and their Mountain Cuvée can currently be found at our Clayton, Webster Groves and Central West End locations.

Straub’s hosted some very special guests last June from the BBC television show “Chef Race: UK vs U.S.” The contestants competed to sell their team’s unique barbecue sauce to various small market stores and barbecue joints in Saint Louis.
