Our staff has been very busy searching for their favorite monthly wines! Each of our four locations has its very own wine pick of the month. Here are our selections for this month.
Gundlach Bundschu Mountain Cuvée
“Ever since I started tasting these wines, consistency has been the factor for this particular blend. It is juicy and fruit forward, but not so much as to turn off the trained wine drinker. Aromas of herbs, dried earth, anise and hints of leather. Dark fruits and herbs are evident in the mouth as this wine rolls on the palate. This all points to a complex wine at a great price. Enjoy!”
– Peter Glarner, C.S.W. (Webster Groves)
750 mL. bottles, $17.49 each
Llama Malbec 2011
“This outstanding Argentinian Malbec combines fullness and fruit with good balance and structure. Six months in French oak adds traditional European flavor.”
– Mark Lauenstein (Central West End)
750 mL. bottles, $13.99 each
Foris Pinot Noir Oregon 2009
“Approachable yet serious, this wine easily competes with Pinots in the $25 range. Rich, ripe fruit with a velvety texture and earthiness. Pairs well with roasted red meats or by itself!”
– Chris Young (Clayton)
750 mL. bottles, $16.99 each
Spellbound Petite Sirah 2010
“Smooth, juicy, and fruity with a hint of chocolate and coffee. This wine is perfect for Halloween parties. Let yourself be spellbound!”
– Ken Etzkorn (Town & Country)
750 mL. bottles, $14.99 each
